High Noon 1: the inspiration

High Noon Starting: the Inspirations.

My main inspirations were two things: kurosawa's Hidden Fortress and the artwork of C.M. Russell.

C.M Russell was an artist from the Old west who experienced the harsh life and painted it down. I was captured by it's depiction of open space in his works; it's not an enclosed field in Suffolk, it's proper open country.

The opening scene to the hidden Fortress is a big inspiration. The way it reveals what the two protagonists are looking at is a great example of film language. I decided to try out something similar
