ADVRA inclass animations

These were in lesson animations. Nothing really here for showy animations. Really just messing about with the mediums to see what I could do. Whether or not that's good it up to you, but I learnt a lot.

This is a prime example. I painted a tree I sketched for sovis. With help from Jackie I experimented with making textures by placing paper on top of the paint and then drawing something on the paper, which would leave an imprint.

These were sand animations. I'm incredible rough with things naturally so something like this was a challenge.

These are charcoal animations. The squirrel one was done by me alone (obviously) but the other two were helped by Mihaela Pavel and Joel Gambleton.

Comments: These made me rethink drawing. I am now forcing myself to think 3 dimensionally in my work due to this and notes from other tutors. It was hard to get this in my mind and I'm still working on it.

Comedic storyboard first draft

This one was a throw in the dark to see if a comedic interpretation was doable. Whilst I'm sure it could've worked I wasn't really enthusiastic about the idea at the time.

The way I did storyboards have evolved along the way. This version helps show it. I went over the second draft with ink pens and modified the overall story with ideas and feedback from colleagues.

Photoshop concept art

I tried doing environment art and layouts based on Scott Wills. I struggled with this I feel.

Cut outs and conceptualisation

An idea I toyed with this, It created a nice effect. I expanded on this cut out idea wit printing after attending a Mono print session.
